Did Amrita Singh blast ex-husband Saif Ali Khan over his opinion on Sara's career choice?

It's not just Sridevi who isn't too happy with her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor joining the world of showbiz. The 80s actor has found Saif Ali Khan echoing her opinions. The Nawab of Pataudi and father of Sara Ali Khan was recently quoted as telling the media that he is quite nervous about his daughter's career choice. It is no secret that Sara will make her big-screen debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath.
While mom Amrita Singh is keen on Sara making it big in Bollywood, dad Saif expressed a somewhat different opinion. In one of his interviews to DNA, Saif revealed that he isn't too impressed with Sara's career choice and wants a more stable profession for her.
He told the daily, "Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn't she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this? I am not looking down on acting, it's just that it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life any parent would want for their children."
When asked if he was involved in selecting Sara's first Bollywood project, he said, "I am there if she needs to ask or talk to me about anything. I know what she is doing and we talk about films just like we do about everything else."
But four days post his interview to the daily, Saif took a U-Turn during another media interaction and said that his comments were twisted. At the IIFA press conference, the 46-year-old actor told PTI, "It's annoying when you give a nice interview and people pick up one line and talk about it; it's irritating. I support my daughter and I love her. I think her choice is great. Of course, she is an actress and she comes from a family of artistes. I am still a little concerned for her as it's an unsure profession. I love her so I worry for her."
